Seating Chart Planner

Terms of Service

Seating Chart Planner is operated by ZL Norman Labs ("we", "us"). By using this site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.

What the service does

Seating Chart Planner builds a wedding seating chart from the guest list, tables, and seating rules you provide — who needs to sit together, and who needs to stay apart. You can build and optimize your chart free, without an account. Unlocking the full chart — a printable PDF, a place-card CSV, and an alphabetized guest-finder list — is a one-time payment of $14, paid through Stripe Checkout; we never see or store your card details ourselves, Stripe handles that. Your statement will show the charge as SEATINGCHART, product name "Seating Chart Export."

No accounts

There's no account to create and no password to remember. After you pay, we email your chart to the address you provide and give you a permanent, private link where it lives. Keep that link — it's how you access your chart and re-export it later, and we don't have a login system as a backup.

Free re-runs

RSVPs change. From your permanent chart link you can edit your guest list, tables, or rules and re-optimize and re-export at no additional cost, as many times as you reasonably need to keep your chart current — this is intended for maintaining your actual chart as your guest list changes, not for generating unrelated or unlimited alternate charts.

Acceptable use

Use Seating Chart Planner to build a seating chart for your own wedding or one you've been asked to help plan. Don't attempt to abuse, overload, or circumvent the free draft or export systems, including automated or bot traffic. We may block access for usage patterns that violate this.

Content is yours

The guest list, seating rules, and chart you build are yours to use, print, and share however you like. We don't claim ownership over the seating data or chart produced for your purchase.

No guarantee of outcome

The optimizer searches for a seating arrangement that satisfies every rule you set, but some combinations of guests, tables, and rules are mathematically infeasible — for example, more must-sit-together guests than a table can hold. When that happens we tell you which rules conflict so you can adjust them; we can't guarantee that every combination of guests and rules you enter has a valid solution, and you're responsible for reviewing the resulting chart before printing or sending it out.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use ofSeating Chart Planner is limited to the amount you actually paid us — $14 for a standard purchase. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
